History of the Band

Early History and Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum

Tally Hall formed in December 2002, in Ann Arbor Michigan, and on October 24th, 2005, their debut Album "Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum" was released. In 2006, The band went to perform their song "Good Day" on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and were on MTV's "You Hear it First" Segment a month later. In 2007, the band appeared at South by Southwest Music Festival, and in 2008, They preformed on the BMI Stage at Lollapalooza. In 2008, Tally Hall returned to the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.

Good & Evil and Hiatus

Good & Evil was released on June 21, 2011, and shortly after, the band went on Hiatus, all the way to today as the band was never offically ended. It has been hinted by the band members a third album will eventually will be made.

The Members of the Band

There are Offically 5 Members of this band, with an Honorary 6th Member. They all Wear the same outfit with different colored ties. Red (Joe Hawley), Yellow (Rob Cantor), Green (Andrew Horowitz), Blue (Zubin Sedghi), Gray (Ross Federman), And the Honorary 6th Member having an Orange Tie (Bora Karaca).

This section will tell you about each Member and what songs they worked on, and some other projects they have done.

Joe Hawley

Joe Hawley was born in Michigan, and he is one of the two Main Vocalists and Guitarists. Hawley wrote "The Bidding", "Banana Man", "Spring and a Storm", "13", "The Ruler of Everything", "Hidden in the Sand", and "Mucka Blucka". He also cowrote "Welcome to Tally Hall". Hawley was lead vocalist on "Banana Man", "Spring and a Storm", and "Hidden in the Sand", and provided vocals for "Good Day", "Welcome to Tally Hall", "Taken for a Ride", "The Bidding", "Haiku", and "The Ruler of Everything".

On Good & Evil, Hawley wrote "&", "Sacred Beast", "Hymn for a Scarecrow", "A Lady", and "Turn the Lights Off". He was the main vocalist on "&", "Hymn for a Scarecrow", "A Lady", and provided vocals on "Sacred Beast", "Turn the Lights Off", and "Fate of the Stars".

After Good & Evil, Hawley Created the musical project named "ミラクルミュージカル", or "Miracle Musical" With Ross Federman and Bora Karaca. They released the Album "Hawaii Part II" On December 12th, 2012 at 12:12:12 AM. This Album has many other artists collaborate on the album, including some other Tally Hall Members, who were Rob Cantor and Zubin Sedghi.

In October of 2016, "Joe Hawley Joe Hawley", a comedic rap album, was released, and was released in 2020.

Rob Cantor

Robert Cantor was born in Michigan, and helped create Tally Hall in 2002. He is one of the two Main Vocalists and guitarist. On Marvins Marvelous Mechanical Museum, Cantor provided guitar, vocals, ukulele, percussion, and songwrote. He wrote "Greener", "Be Born", "Just Apathy", "Haiku",, and cowrote "Welcome to Tally Hall". He was the Main Vocalist for "Greener", "Be Born", "Just Apathy", and provided vocals for "Good Day", "Welcome to Tally Hall", "The Bidding", "Haiku", "Just A Friend", and "Good Day Simlish".

On Good and Evil, Cantor wrote "Never Meant to Know", "You & Me", "Who You Are", And "Out in the Twilight". He was the main vocalist for "Never Meant to Know", "You and Me", "Who You Are", "Out in the Twilight", and provided vocals for "Sacred Beast", "Turn the Lights Off", and "Fate of the Stars".

After Good & Evil, Cantor wrote and made viral videos and songs, like "Shia LaBeouf" Live and 29 Celebrity Impressions, 1 Original Song. Cantor also has had a notable amount of work with Disney Junor with various disney nursery rhymes, and made music for the show "The Ghost and Molly McGee".

Andrew Horowitz

Andrew Horowitz was born in New Jersey, and helped create Tally Hall in 2002. Horowitz is the main keyboardist on Tally Hall. He wrote the Songs "Good Day", "Taken for a Ride", "Two Wuv", "The Whole World and You", "Dream", and "Good Day Simlish" (which was a song added in a Sims 2 DLC), and was lead vocalist on "The Whole World and You" and also provided Vocals for "Taken for a Ride" on Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum.

On Good & Evil, He wrote "Misery Fell", "You", and "Fate of the Stars", and was lead vocalist on "You" and also provided Vocals for "Fate of the Stars"

Horowitz released three albums, One under the name "Edu" called "Sketches 3d", and two named "Etudes" and "Etudes II".

Zubin Sedghi

Zubin Sedghi was born in Michigan, and is the band's Bass player, and occassional vocalist. On Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum he did the bass, vocals, and co-songwrote on "Welcome to Tally Hall"., he provided vocals for "Welcome to Tally Hall", "The Bidding", "The Ruler of Everything", and "Just A Friend".

On Good & Evil, Sedghi provided bass, Wrote "Cannibal" and "The Trap", was the main vocalist on "Cannibal", "A Trap", "Misery Fell", and provided vocals on "Fate of the Stars".

After Good & Evil, he returned to college and graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in neuroscience, and also contributed to Miracle Musical's Album "Hawaii Part II".

Ross Federman

Ross Federman was born in Michigan, and joined Tally Hall in 2004, after the original Drummer Steve Gallagher Quit. He is the Main Drummer of the band. On Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum, he provided drums, percussion, was the main vocalist on "Mucka Blucka", and was an auctioneer voice on "The Bidding".

On Good & Evil, Federman provided drums, percussion, and provided vocals on "Hymn for a Scarecrow"

Federman released 3 mixtapes uner the name Mr. F, and had a large hand in the production of Hawaii Part II.

Bora Karaca

Bora Karaca was born at the age of 0 In Michigan. He never offically joined the band, but provided backing vocals in "Good Day", "The Bidding", and "Banana Man", and the whisling in "Banana Man".

In Good & Evil, Bora Karaca provided keyboards, accordion, whistling, acoustic guitar, and percussion, and joined the single tour for the album.

Bora Karaca help make the band "Cojum Dip", and assisted with Rob Cantor's music video "Shia LaBeouf"
